Member Benefits
We’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to register on the new e-automate Users Group community web-site (http://eug.digitalgateway.com)!
Our new web site takes advantage of many Web 2.0 features (blogs, wiki’s, photo albums, newsfeeds, etc) in a social networking context. While this site is not intended to become a “Face Book” or “MySpace” , it is meant to promote and facilitate more interaction between yourself and other users of the e-automate software solution.
Access to the EUG site is one of the most powerful resources available to you and your users to assist you in the implementation and ongoing use of the e-automate ERP system within your business. There is nothing like being able to post a question to the group and have multiple responses from actual users who can provide additional insight and or suggestions to you and your users on challenges you might be facing.
Membership to the site is restricted to companies who are currently using e-automate software and are under a current Maintenance & Support Agreement with Digital Gateway. In other words, it is our Maintenance and Support dollars that are the primary funding source for the continued development & enhancements to e-automate. Allowing users who do not understand that correlation and who are unwilling to pay DGI for Support to access our site would be detrimental to all of us who are paying to keep the product growing. Therefore, if you want access to your fellow users, you need to keep your Support & Maintenance agreement in effect with DGI for e-automate.
Basic Membership (included with your paid Support Agreement ) allows you to:
- Ask questions about using e-automate from other actual users
- Participate in discussions regarding use of e-automate
- Purchase offerings from our e-commerce store (EUG items, Custom Reports, etc)
- View Latest news from the industry and DGI
- Access the DGI Knowledgebase & Wiki
- Register for User Group sponsored Events & Meetings (additional charges are applicable for attending our meetings & events)
We offer another level of membership for those who take their investment in the implementation of e-automate seriously. An upgrade to the Premium Membership level is available to all Basic EUG Members at the current price of $175 per Company. The Premium Membership , in addition to the Basic Membership privileges, allows:
- Register up to 5 additional users for access to the site
- Eligible for membership in the Steering Committee groups and to sit on one of our Product Steering Committees (which provide feedback and guidance to the DGI Developers on new enhancements/features under development)
- Discount Registration/Attendance fees on meetings and events sponsored by the EUG
- Discounts in the On-Line Store
- Participation in Voting to establish the Top 10 Enhancement Requests that DGI Developers will work on for each new release. (Basic members can of course submit enhancement requests/ideas…but only Premium Members have voting privileges to establish priorities)
- Can maintain a “Member Connection” list (functions like Linked-In and MySpace connections….other individuals within the EUG community that you want to interact with at a more involved level.
- Your users can
- maintain a personal Blog within their personal profile
- Provide links to their information on other networks (MySpace, Face Book, Linked-In, etc)
- Upload images to their personal gallery and/or groups to which they belong

Message from the Chairman
Over the past 5 years, our group has evolved to over 200 companies. This is a growing, dynamic group which includes member companies from over 40 states, 3 Canadian provinces and multiple other nations. The group gains it strength from the diversity of skills, backgrounds and personalities of it members. It is the joining of our voices to speak as one that has raised our influence and importance to Digital Gateway.
The EUG has evolved due to its collaborative efforts with DGI in putting together communications and meetings that meet the needs and wants of the member companies. The group meetings bring together a great collection of people from all departments of the member companies. This provides a number of unique and invaluable viewpoints that provide great balance to the attendees.
Our meetings provide you with the unique opportunity to meet other members and network with like-minded people within other organizations. You will also get to interface directly with all of the key members of DGI. You will have the opportunity to meet all of the executives as well as the developers, trainers, customer service reps and programmers.
Our meetings feature the popular "Best Practices" in which members take the stage and share their experiences with the system. Each presentation focuses on one area of the product, an advanced feature, an add-on product like e-info or Remote Tech. The presenter discusses how they have utilized this feature and how their company has benefitted from it utilization. You will also laugh!!!
Even if you are unable to attend a meeting, you have the opportunity to more than recover your investment just through utilization or monitoring of the message boards. These are monitored regularly by a large number of users that are very willing to share their experiences and knowledge with each other.
Those who are unable to attend a meeting will also have the opportunity to receive all of the presentations from the meetings as well as participate in the "Wish List" process.
We are currently in the process of forming "Steering Committees". These are centered around the modules of e-automate and the advanced functionality. The groups are a conduit to speed communications and wishes between the EUG members and DGI as well as for DGI to get rapid feedback from the membership.
We need the support and active participation of as many e-automate users as possible to continue our growth and impact. There are not many times in your life when you have the chance to be heard and have a real impact on a product and its development…don't miss this opportunity. Our companies have made a major investment in the e-automate product and it is our responsibility to maximize the return on investment...don't miss this opportunity.
Jeffrey Taylor
Chairman, EUG
